The AD8561 is a single 7 ns comparator featuring independent input and output sections. Separate power supplies enable the input stage to operate from either a ±5 V dual supply or a +5 V single supply. The fast 7 ns propagation delay makes the AD8561 ideal for timing circuits and line receivers. The rise and fall propagation delays are highly matched and remain consistent across the temperature range, making it suitable for clock recovery as the output duty cycle will match the input duty cycle. The AD8561 features pin-to-pin compatibility with the LT1016, but offers lower supply current and a wider common-mode input range, including the negative supply rail. The device is specified over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and is available in 8-pin plastic DIP, 8-pin TSSOP, and 8-pin narrow SOIC surface-mount packages.
